Bartholomäus Traubeck and me worked on a video and artwork for Tanzen ist auch Sport's first release by Lois Lane.
Bart and me dreamed up a world filled with cloth-like screens bending and waving in the wind of intercontinental data-transfer. The display as a medium dissolves into a flexible plane, readily adapting to whatever it encounters, with the single pieces of content all becoming parts of one big journey through our bookmarks.
find more details in this interview with lucky prawn from melbourne.

Full release, including a remix by Mr. Statik of Bpitch Control Berlin available on
www.tanzen-ist-auch-sport.com/tias-001 and store.wupwup.com

i developed the concept and graphics for the new website of journalist, host and coach Susanne Barta from Bozen-Bolzano. The concept is based on this "3 topics" and on the strong color yellow. the website tries to be simple and elegant as well as personal in the same way. have a look on www.susannebarta.com

"es:tate" is a con/temporary open air space at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Bozen-Bolzano, North Italy.

Together with the students Nicola Chemotti, Max Edelberg, Korbinian Kapfhammer, Professor Kuno Prey of the Faculty of Design and Art at the University of Bozen-Bolzano and me as Project Leader, we have designed and realised a new and exciting spatial and furniture concept in a disused area between the Hotel and the Bozen-Bolzano Trade Fair.

We have created a temporary installation with the theme of “moving mountains”: strong combinations of materials, images, colours, light and sound all mark the rediscovered area and playfully bring the theme of the mountains into the heart of Bozen’s industrial zone. In this project we have skilfully experimented and created in the areas of product design and visual communication.

Stone-filled cages (“gabbioni”) are transformed into seating with natural felt from South Tyrol; a newly interpreted milking stool and three-legged wooden stools offer flexible opportunities to sit down, while graphical, mobile backdrops and a large projection screen delimit the space. An 8-metre long bar, dynamically lit and certainly unique in Bozen, has been realised to provide an ideal interface between the public and bar staff.

www.ersions

was an attempt to subcurate the kunstart 2012 art fair (bozen-bolzano) by producing 12.000 reproductions of a few chosen works matching the daily meta-theme. The Din A4 format reproductions were printed according to an automated schedule.

The printing machine is the only agent at the venue, the curators only submit their selection to the machine in order to have it printed. Thus the curation is manifested by mere mass of reproduction and a lack of explanation thereof. It is an approach to shifting the recipient’s perspective on a product (the artwork) by bluntly creating an overwhelming presence of the image of that product, very similar to the basic workings of the value of presence in advertising.

This tries to contradict the stigma of devaluation by reproduction introduced by Walter Benjamin. We think that by copying a work, the idea of the work gains more authority, and therefore the work itself, holding the origin of the idea is increased in its value.
By producing reproductions we try to shift the people’s focus to the original idea (not necessarily the original artwork), reinforcing its authority and authenticity rather than defacing it. Thus reproduction is the tool for the manifestation of our selection in the memories of the recipients.

i was working together with nadia kammerer, matthias campedelli and our collective wupwup on a interdisciplinary concept for this years "wupwup plays kunStart" fair, held between 14th - 18th march 2012 in bozen-bolzano
alongside this i developed a microsite and promotional work like posters, folders and the design for the stand in fair. the concept is focusing on the theme "network" and the collaboration of young european artists with our collective and me promises a variety of interesting interventions, performances and happenings.

the microsite presents the evening concept, line up and multimedia contents. also i embedded newsletter, facebook and twitter updates. on a second step the site will document wupwup's artistic interventions during the fair and the week in bozen-bolzano.

noa* (network of architecture) invited me to develop and consult them with their corporate identity and website.

noa* is a architecture studio founded by architects lukas rungger and stefan rier and based in bozen-bolzano, italy. the studio is focused on the idea of a network based and collaborative ethos in architecture and beyond.

the c.i. tries to express this 360 degrees network approach and their work ethos.

In today’s Western society, digital communication, networking and the Web 2.0 are parts of our daily life. The constant ‘real time’ connection is changing us, our environment and the perception of it.

On the threshold of the post-digital society the limits of space and time are abolished. The physical dematerialization is a true consequence. The Bauhaus industrial product has become obsolete. Hybrid objects are becoming media, surfaces transform into spaces and spaces turn into unsharp gradients.

In an accelerated era full of freedom of forms and the change as a status quo I am creating an object which itself has no definite state and which is capable of interacting with the user and his environment.

“www” is an interpretation of the ‘shelf’ archetype.
